Hey there - we’re Ron and Zach Tippin, the father-son duo behind Widetrack.

This project started as a personal mission - a way to process life, loss, and the madness of the world through music. What began with Ron recording solo in a Michigan basement has grown into a deeply collaborative partnership between two generations, bound by a love of cinematic, emotionally raw rock.

We call our sound “Alterna-Prog” - a fusion of ‘70s atmosphere, ‘90s grit, and whatever else sparks our imagination. Some have said it's like

"Rod Serling conducting a group therapy session with members of Pink Floyd and Soundgarden". We’ll take that.

With every song, we aim to explore the human experience - the light, the dark, and everything in between. Whether you’re here for the riffs, the stories, or just out of curiosity, thanks for listening. It means the world to us.
